Fighting prejudice - a photographic documentation about the unique landscape of the Sultanate of Oman
Fighting prejudice - a photographic documentation about the unique landscape of the Sultanate of Oman
True to the famous quote of Aldous Huxley that "to travel is to discover that everyone is wrong about other countries." I went to the Sultanate of Oman in the beginning of 2019. The Arabian Peninsula is still prejudiced to a great extent, most likely due to the fear of the unknown and culturual as well as religious differences to Europe/Germany where I used to live. Even my friends and family kept asking me "why the heck" I want to travel to Oman.
So this series aims to fight those prejudice. It is a photographic documentation about the beautiful and unique scenery of Oman. My colorful impressions would like to underline that its diverse landscape is truly one of its kind. From 3,000 meter high mountains, the so called "Rocky Mountains of Oman", via beautiful palm oasis and paradisaical Wadis, along the coastline with lonely beaches through to the world's largest desert. All of this you can discover within a journey time less than five hours.
