Introspection

I am a lover of millipedes and at the same time an experimental photographer. In my art, I always try to create an aesthetic connection between living creatures and a completely unnatural environment. It is like a transformation of two different worlds into a completely new, unknown dimension, which is intended to convey new feelings and impressions to the beholder. But why did I choose the title “Introspection”? Introspection is a process of looking inward to examine one's own thoughts, feelings, judgments, and perceptions. It is an important part of the human psyche and enables one to understand oneself better. Rolling millipedes symbolize this state in an impressive and fascinating way.

I’m a 45 years old self-taught photographer based in Paderborn, Germany. I have been working intensively with photography for about 15 years. In the course of time, I discovered my passion for the small and inconspicuous things in our world and specialized in artistic close-up and macro photography.
