Why must beekeepers fight?

During my high school years, I fenced on the varsity team, and much of my life revolved around the sport. Naturally, when talking with friends, the meme would come up often. If you were ever a fencer, you’ve definitely seen the classic line, “Why must beekeepers fight?”

I was able to find a real beekeeper who was open to collaborating, with the bees' safety and well-being as the top priority. It felt like a meaningful way to combine something that once took up so much of my life outside of school with what I do professionally now.
