Set in Hong Kong’s neon-lit streets, this series reimagines the future we once dreamed of—self-driving cars, robots, and cybernetic life—through a nostalgic lens. Inspired by 1990s subculture and sci-fi optimism, the work fuses analog textures with digital glitches, creating a playful yet critical dialogue between past and present. Hong Kong, long a global icon of cyberpunk aesthetics, becomes the stage for augmented characters in surreal, dystopian scenes. RetroFuturism asks: What happens when yesterday’s dreams become today’s reality?
