Gothangaon has become a paradise for wildlife lovers and photographers after a tigress gave birth to five cubs. Now, the young cubs often follow their mother closely, while the other three stay nearby at a distance. From their first steps, these cubs showed no fear of humans, while their mother remained ever watchful.

Raising five cubs meant hunting almost every day—a true test of endurance. Despite its small size, Gothangaon is now renowned worldwide for its tiger photography. Over the past year, I’ve made nearly 50 safaris here, witnessing every season and mood of the forest.

In the final days of summer, as water vanished, a small heart-shaped pond outside the reserve became the tigress’s favorite spot. One magical evening, under a glowing sunset and fading light, I captured a rare, timeless moment—a story of a mother’s strength, her cubs’ courage, and the wild’s enduring beauty.
