Silence & solitude

In a world that is constantly filled with noise, I'm in a constant search for silence, peace and simplicity.
The silence in these landscapes is sometimes deafening. Most people run away from it. I run towards it.
Always on the hunt for those silent foggy mornings, on a mountain top, surrounded by nothing but nature and hearing nothing but the wind and the occasional bird.
Letting the fog cover me like a soft blanket, seeing it take away the rough edges of everything, admiring the softness it adds to my world.

42 year old nature photographer who finds peace and comfort in the silence and simplicity nature brings.
Having found all that in Sweden many years ago, I keep on going back there. The country where nature can still be wild and untamed, where people need to live WITH nature instead of fighting against it.
Accepting all the elements.
The sometimes harsh conditions, but also the wonderful soft moments like mornings when the landscapes are covered in a blanket of fog.
Moments like that are like poetry to me. Nature's paintings. Changing every minute. Sometimes even every second. Nature's works of art. I'm just a spectator. How lucky am I!
It gives me peace of mind and makes me pause my life. Something that is so very needed in our every day life.
I can only hope that my work shows this to the ones looking at it. Hoping it brings them some peace, silence and tranquility.
A moment to pause.
Some softness to their world.
And above all reconnection with nature.
