SEAN BROWN
Short-eared Owl in Flight

This image was taken at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Southeast Oregon. Malheur is located on the Oregon high desert. The animals here are faced with many challenges, including lack of water from severe draught, led poisoning in the food chain from hunting, and political movements that's want to return federally managed land to private interests for resource harvesting. I take pictures at these places to bring awareness to these vast high desert landscapes, the issues they face, and foster support for these beautiful animals and the lands they call home.
