Border line stories: From Ukraine to Poland

"You can't imagine how beautiful my city was. I've lived in Kharkiv my whole life and now there is nothing left of it." said the 80-year-old woman, pushed in a wheelchair through the platforms of the train station in Przemysl, Poland. At the borders, thousands of refugees are crossing every day the borders to Medyka, Kroscienko and Korczowa. In the camps, hot coffee and chocolate for the kids, food, clothes, medical care, tents for a quick rest or an over-night stay. Crackling fire are burning to keep warm. Escaping atrocity, they are met with the solidarity of the Polish people, organizations and volunteers from around the world. As they settle into cars, wagons and bus seats, they are telling the story of family and loved ones they had left behind, living in bunkers. A father, a brother, a husband that had to stay back and fight in the war; or a grandparent who would refuse to abandon their country in the hands of the invader. The end of it, unclear. Their destination, still unknown.
